Covid-19 New Terms and Conditions and Policy

If you test positive for Covid-19 please inform us.

Please do not attend classes if you have any covid symptoms/ are awaiting covid test results.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will NOT be give a credit. This is a risk you take upon booking.


Main Updates for November 2022


    Everything is now open and masks are no longer required.

    Doors may be closed now to retain heat.

    Regular pole cleaning is still in place.

    Cleaning wipes and hand sanitisers are provided for students.

    We ask that you still notify the studio if you test positive to allow the instructors to test and reduce any spreading.

    If you have any symptoms and/or test positive you must not attend class, and you will not be refunded/credited.

What We Will Do


    Deep clean the studio and equipment regularly.

    New risk assessment.

    Regular instructor meetings to keep on top of government guidelines.

    We will provide several hand sanitising stations and readily available cleaning products.

    Limit class numbers to allow for social distancing.

    Provide clear spacing guidelines for 2 metre distancing.

The Terms and Conditions have been updated below to reflect how we shall operate during the Covid-19 crisis. The following Policies and Terms and Conditions are intended to supplement any existing Terms and Conditions. This update shall supersede any previous Terms and Conditions only where a direct conflict arises.

You shall be asked to give affirmation that you have read and agree to this update before you can book a class at The Watermelon Studio.

    All pole classes are non-refundable; if you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice you will be issued a transfer credit for the same class type. Transfer credits are valid for one month from the date of cancellation. Strictly no exceptions.

    No transfers, refunds or substitutions can be made within the 48 hour cancellation policy.

    If you are a no show for three or more classes in a row or within a month, your account will be blocked for two weeks to allow other students to book on due to very limited spaces.

    On our booking site you will have to complete our updated disclaimer before being able to book a class.

    Leave items at your own risk, the studio is not responsible for missing or damaged items. All other terms and conditions apply.

Studio and Class Policy


    If you or any of your household have symptoms of Covid-19 you MUST NOT come to class.

    If you or your someone in your household falls ill after attending a session you MUST inform us.

    If you test positive for Covid-19 you MUST inform us.

    If you are shielding do not attend any classes.

    No changing room facilities will be available – please arrive wearing your pole attire underneath your regular clothes.

    You must wait outside the building until your class is called. You are not permitted to wait in the building at any time. Please do not arrive early for classes.

    Once your class is finished you must leave the building immediately.

    Please do not congregate before or after class.

    Please bring as few items as possible.

    Use hand sanitizer on arrival, throughout your class, and when leaving the studio.

    Outdoor shoes are to be left in the reception area.

    At the beginning of your class you will be required to clean your pole and again at the end of your class.

    Bring your own water and towel.

    No leaning against walls or radiators.

    Don’t place any items on any radiators.

    Spotting will only occur if the student is comfortable. unless in emergency circumstances.

    Doors will remain open.

    You cannot train any moves you have not been taught at Watermelon, including online classes with other instructors.


We understand this is a lot of new information, but your instructors will be able to answer any questions you may have. We are doing everything we can to remain open and keep everyone safe. Although there will be more rules to adhere to, you will have a pole to yourself, more instructor time and we will make sure it’s fun for you! Thank you for your help through these crazy times.
