Terms & Conditions


These Terms and Conditions cover all the classes provided by The Watermelon Studio. Before attending, you should read these Terms and Conditions carefully. If you find yourself unable to agree to them, you must not book or attend the classes. By booking or attending a class, you will be deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions herein in their entirety. The Watermelon Studio may amend Terms and Conditions at any time.


General

    No observers

    No person is to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    No participation if you have given birth within the previous 6 weeks or C-section within the previous 12 weeks. Doctors approval to return to exercise is required.

    I understand that photographs taken at the studio may be used on the studio's website and social media.

    Responses to requests shall be made within 24 hours dependant on volume of requests and management availability. Any queries can be directed to 07713 866907 or info@thewatermelonstudio.co.uk

    All credits from cancelled classes are valid for two weeks.

    No participation if pregnant or if you have any serious injuries.


All Pole Classes

    For your safety a warm up and cool down is provided for every class. If you are late and/or miss the warm up you will not be allowed to attend due to safety and disruption of the class. Please arrive 5 minutes before to allow time to change.

    You can cancel a class at any time by logging into your account on our booking site. If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice you will automatically be given a credit note valid for two weeks.

    No refund, substitution or transfer will be given if you are late.

    ALL bookings must be made through our booking site. We do not accept drop ins and you will be turned away at the door.

    All block are valid of one month. There are no transfers, extensions or refunds if you do not use all your credits within that month. No exceptions.

    No participation if pregnant or if you have any serious injuries.

    No observers allowed.

    Pole classes are for 18 years and older.

    Classes are subject to availability and places shall be allocated on a first come first serve basis via our booking site.

    A health and safety form must be completed on your first attendance at the Watermelon Studio via our online booking site.

    No transfers, Refunds or substitution can be made within the 24 hour cancellation policy.

    All pole classes are non-refundable. If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice you will be issued a transfer credit for the same class type. Transfer credits are valid for two weeks from the date of cancellation.

    No refunds or substitutions will be given once a booking is made.

    Management reserve the rights to refuse places at their discretion.

    Booking with us implies that you shall follow all instructions given by our staff. A booking can be terminated during a class if any behaviour causes, or could cause, an unsafe or disruptive environment for the other students. This is down to managerial discretion and no refund will be given.

    Pole practice is a time to use our poles and practice moves you have been taught. No move should be attempted unless it has been taught in one of our classes. No move which you are unsure of should be attempted. No inverted moves should be attempted without a mat AND spotter unless told otherwise by your teacher. If you are seen to be putting yourself or anyone else at risk you will be asked to leave with no refund. No teaching shall be in this class, from the teachers at The Watermelon Studio or by fellow students.

    There are no refunds, transfers or substitutions once a block has been purchased.

    If you have purchased a block and we are forced into another lockdown, your credits will automatically be converted to online credits, and are to be used within the same expiry dates. These will not be transferred back.


Cancellation

    In respect of classes, transfers will only be issued if 24 hours’ notice is given for cancellation. No transfers of substitution will be made should you fail to give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of a class. No refunds or credits will be issued if any type of pole class is cancelled. If for any reason we have to cancel a class, you will receive a transfer credit valid for two weeks.

    In respect of parties, refunds will only be issued if two weeks’ notice is given for cancellation. Deposits are non-refundable and we will credit you the rest of your payment.

    Refunds will be issued in the unlikely event of cancellation of a class by The Watermelon Studios unless a cancellation by The Watermelon Studios was due to any situation out with our control. Situations out with our control include i) Acts of God which include storms, flooding, fire or snow (ii) Force Majeure which includes war, accidents, strikes, local disputes and civil commotions and (iii) Power failure and failure of sound or lighting.

    Please ensure that you arrive timeously for classes/ blocks/ workshops/ parties as latecomers may not be admitted.


Workshops

    All of the above apply.

    No drop-ins allowed.

    There are no refunds, transfers or substitutions on any workshop. Once purchased, all sales are final.


Parties

    Health and safety form must be completed on your first attendance at The Watermelon Studio.

    Minimum 6 people for one party.

    Booking with us implies that you shall follow all instructions given by our staff. A booking can be terminated during a class if any behaviour causes, or could cause, an unsafe or disruptive environment for the other students. This is down to managerial discretion and no refund will be given.

    For your safety a warm up and cool down is provided.

    Your allocated timescale is non-negotiable once booking is confirmed. If you are late to your booking time will not be added on and your routine will be shortened.

    Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated time to allow for administration.

    A 50% non-refundable deposit is to be taken on booking with the rest to be paid at least one month in advance. If the full amount is not paid within this time your party will be cancelled with the deposit taken.

    If a cancellation is made two weeks before the event, you will be refunded minus the deposit. If a cancellation is made any time after no refund will be given.

    Once purchases are made there will be no refunds or transfers. The allocated time you are given will not be changed once booked. If you arrive late The Watermelon Studio has no obligation to complete your full time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late your party will be cancelled.


Merchandise

    When purchasing in person no refunds will be given unless the goods were sold faulty.

    Not for sale out with The Watermelon Studio.

    If ordering online and require a refund, items must be received within 14 days of you receiving your original order. All items must be in the same condition you received them for a refund.

    All items will be dispatched within 1-2 weeks, or collection at the studio can be arranged.


CCTV

The Watermelon Studio has CCTV in the reception area, main studio, and small studio. Footage is kept for 30 days and only accessed by our studio owner, Gwen Holbrey. CCTV is present for safety and insurance purposes. For more information on how we process your data please see our Privacy Notice.


Property Policy

Property and belongings are brought to and / or left at The Watermelon Studio entirely at your own risk. We will accept no liability for loss or damage to any property or belongings.
